in the mirror, your perception is opposite and your face looks different whereas in pictures, your features are exactly how you appear to others.

No, it’s the mere exposure effect. The more often people see a face, the more attractive they think it is. You most often see your face in the mirror, so you think that version is more attractive. Everyone else sees the non reflected version of you, so when other people look at your photographs, they think you’re more attractive in that photo than you would think yourself to be looking at the same photo. This has been uplifting psychology.
